The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce will host State of the State, with State Senator Ben Allen (24th District) and Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi (66th District), on Friday, March 21st, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Torrance – South Bay. This annual event provides business leaders with the opportunity to hear directly from state representatives about legislative updates and engage in discussions on policies affecting the local economy.
“Business owners should attend State of the State because it is crucial to keep abreast of business- and labor-related state laws and policies,” said Belma Demirovic Chinchoy, Attorney at Immigration General Counsel. “Even if policies seem unrelated to one’s industry, the laws shape the environment in which businesses operate. In addition, our representatives will speak directly to the issues impacting the South Bay.”
The event is an opportunity for business leaders not only to gain insight into policy changes but also to engage directly with elected officials. Sponsorship plays a key role in making this forum possible, allowing for meaningful discussions that impact the region.
“Attending the State of the State Address is crucial for Chamber of Commerce members like Kaiser Permanente, as it provides a unique opportunity to stay informed about key policy updates and economic strategies that impact our community,” said Margie Harrier, Senior Vice President and Area Manager, Kaiser Permanente South Bay Medical Center. “Our sponsorship of this event underscores Kaiser Permanente’s unwavering commitment to supporting the local business community, fostering economic growth, and ensuring a healthier, more prosperous future for all.”
