The Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) presented its 2016-17 Economic Forecast and Industry Outlook Report for LA County in front of over 500 guests at the Omni Hotel in LA this past week. TACC attended the event along with officials from the City of Torrance to keep abreast of economic trends in the U.S., California, and LA County. The report, which was prepared and presented by LAEDC’s Chief Economist Dr. Robert Kleinhenz, highlighted that the U.S. is forecasted to experience continued economic and job growth at a moderate pace through 2017 with LA County seeing employment gains at a slower pace and continued improvement in local unemployment rates. Check out a recap of the presentation provided by the Los Angeles Business Journal.
