The American Red Cross has announced an emergency blood shortage and launched a nationwide public appeal. Torrance Memorial maintains its own blood supply but relies on the American Red Cross to supplement the blood bank. This shortage will have a local impact, making it crucial for the community to donate blood to help maintain the blood supply.
Why Donate Blood?
Donating blood means giving someone a second chance. A single blood donation can save up to two lives. All blood donated at Torrance Memorial stays in the blood bank and is used for patients. Donating is safe, simple, and a meaningful way to give back to the community.
It takes less than an hour to make a donation, and that one hour can save lives. Call 310-517-4647 to schedule an appointment today!
