The Torrance Chamber of Commerce will launch the first of a three-part Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) series on Wednesday, February 9th at 9:00 a.m. This event will be virtual.
“Farzana Nayani, keynote speaker, will introduce the concept of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. The focus of her presentation will be ‘why businesses should consider embracing DEI in their workplace’. The second event, to be held on March 11th, will be a DEI Business Roundtable where different business leaders will share their thoughts about howDEI programs create a sense of belonging in their workplace. And lastly, the third event in the series will be a celebration of DEI with the chamber’s Educate, Elevate, and Celebrate Diversity event in April,” stated Barbara Graham, Vice Chair of DEI.
Keynote speaker Farzana Nayani is a recognized Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion specialist, coach, and international keynote speaker. She has worked with Fortune 500 corporations, public agencies, higher education institutions, school districts, and non-profit organizations as a consultant and trainer on diversity and inclusion, intercultural communication, supplier diversity, and employee engagement.
