Greeted by Micky Toth, I quickly began to learn about Two Men and a Truck, the fastest-growing franchised moving company in the country that offers comprehensive home and business relocation and packing services. Two Men and a Truck all started as an after-school business for two high school boys. With a hand-drawn logo, advertisement in a local paper, and advertising fund stashed in a ceramic dish, the endeavor was never expected to be more than a local moving company.
Now, 30 years later, Two Men and a Truck has grown both domestically and internationally with more than 320 locations worldwide. In 2015, Two Men and a Truck operated in 39 states with additional growth in the United States, Canada, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.
Micky explained the goal of Two Men and a Truck is to exceed customers’ expectations by customizing moving services to specific needs. He stated, “We move apartments, condominiums, homes, businesses, and everything in between – from very small to very large. Whether moving down the street, across the country, or to a new home or business building, we’re here to help with managing relocation stress.
As we toured the facility, Micky pointed out an area in which movers actually practice wrapping furniture and other items that would typically be found in a home or business move.
My eyes were drawn to a poster hung on the wall with the wording, “The Grandma Rule means we treat everyone we move like we would treat our own grandmother.” It is evident in talking with Micky and viewing the fun facts throughout the facility that customer service is very important to Two Men and a Truck. They are a moving company that is on a mission to exceed expectations.
The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce wishes Micky and his team with Two Men and a Truck continued success in Torrance. We value your membership and thank you for being part of the Torrance business community.
