At South High School we are trying to make career speakers a part of our weekly school business!

Students love to hear from different industry professionals about their journey from high school to their current occupation. We had almost 20 career speakers for our College and Career Week in October.  Next semester we are hoping to have career speakers each week during our half-hour seminars on Wednesday and Thursday from 11:25 to 11:55 am.

Speakers can come individually, but we would also love to have a few together to share different elements of the job with our students. The students who sign up choose to come to the seminar, so they are an interested and willing audience, hosted by a classroom teacher who can help to facilitate the process.

Here is a QR code and a link that leads directly to an interest form.  Once you fill it out, our amazing College and Career Coordinator, Salma Sanchez, will reach out to you via email to set up a date. You can also reach out to her via email at sanchez.salma-nadine@tusd.org or January King at king.january@tusd.org.
