The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that, alongside chambers across the state, it played a pivotal role in protecting the Employment Training Panel (ETP) program from the serious threat posed by SB 1321. This victory ensures that the ETP will continue to be a vital resource for workforce training across California, directly benefiting the businesses represented.
Taking a leading role in this effort, the Chamber worked tirelessly as part of a coalition that met with legislators, the Employment Training Panel, and Workforce Development leaders. By mobilizing the local business community, an overwhelming response was generated through the one-click letter campaign. The voices of the business community were heard loud and clear, and because of this collective advocacy, the bill was significantly amended.
This success is a testament to the power of effective representation and the Chamber’s commitment to protecting the interests of the business community. A critical program has been safeguarded, supporting the growth and stability of industries across the state. The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce is honored to continue fighting for the business community.
