The Chamber recently hosted a forum at Ambassador Christian High School in which five representatives from the Torrance Police Department responded to students concerns of mass shootings, civilian drones, racial bias and social media.
“This chamber event was a wonderful and authentic view of the service and challenges facing local law enforcement in Torrance. The panel was able to share their personal motivations to serve our community and provide the human side to their service and daily interactions with the public. Our students enjoyed the panel discussion and would love to continue to partner with the Chamber for other events,” stated Michael Barker, Head of School.
Appreciation is extended to Torrance Police Chief Jeremiah Hart, Sergeant Salary, Officer Francisco, Officer Kuet, and Officer Castillo for sharing their career and experiences with the students.
