“Covid caught many of us off-guard. It’s time to prepare for another natural disaster that’s on every business owner’s mind, Earthquake! Many Small Businesses are not aware of the services and resources available and directions on what to do to safeguard their property and business. Having a good disaster plan means fewer days out of business, employee safety, better communication with customers, and a better settlement from your insurance company for faster recovery. Torrance Chamber is bringing three of the best industry experts to avail themselves of all the information for our chamber members. Please attend this informative meeting and be prepared for any emergency confidently”, stated Minal Mondkar, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors.
With this important topic at the forefront of business plans, Small Business Council co-chairs Karen Pryor, Gina Lee, and Connor Hartwell will also provide a question and answer period for those in attendance.
“2023 has seen Mother Nature prove just how powerful she is. From the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria to the heavy snowfall in our local mountains, atmospheric rivers in the sky and even a tornado touching down in Montebello, this is definitely the year to take emergency preparedness seriously,” stated co-chair Karen Pryor.
