[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text width=”1/1″ el_position=”first last”]When Governor Jerry Brown signed AB 1522, the “Healthy Workplaces, Healthy Families Act of 2014” California employers were forced to comply with one of the largest benefit mandates in recent years. Businesses are currently facing a deadline of July 1, 2015 to afford the benefits to all employees. The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce understands the tremendous burden the mandated sick leave law will have on many employers and is committed to pulling and providing resources for Chamber members to help comply with its requirements.
